Sarita Bennett

Sarita Bennett is a Professor and Senior Lecturer at Curtin University, where since February 2010, responsibilities include serving as the Course Coordinator for the Agribusiness Degree and Masters in Dryland Agricultural Systems, along with lecturing in Sustainable Agricultural Systems and Food Security, Advanced Cropping Systems and Precision Agriculture, and Pastures and Rangeland Management. Prior to this role, Sarita Bennett worked as a Research Scientist at the University of Western Australia from January 2006 to January 2010, focusing on the ecology of saltland and developing the SaltCap capability analysis. Earlier experience includes a position as a Research Scientist at Bangor University from January 2004 to December 2005, specializing in the agronomy of flax and hemp. Sarita Bennett holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Plant Ecological Genetics and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biological Sciences and Geography, both obtained from the University of Birmingham. Early education was completed at Bennett Memorial Diocesan School for Girls.
