Nathan Uter

Nathan Uter is a seasoned professional in the biopharmaceutical industry with extensive experience in alliance management, corporate development, and protein biochemistry. Currently serving as Senior Director of Alliance Management and Corporate Development at Cytokinetics since December 2024, Nathan has previously held significant roles at Sutro Biopharma, Inc., including Executive Director of Portfolio and Alliance Management. Prior roles at Sutro included Senior Director and Director positions focused on program and alliance management, as well as technology transfer. Nathan's earlier career includes a position as Group Leader of Protein Biochemistry at AbbVie, where the focus was on managing protein production related to oncology discovery. With a strong foundation in biochemistry and molecular biology, evidenced by a Ph.D. from UC Santa Barbara and a BS from Humboldt State University, Nathan also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Utah, concentrating on the biochemistry and structural biology of proteins involved in HIV-1 and multivesicular body formation.
