Jonathon Weiner completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Physics from Michigan State University, where they studied from 1995 to 1998. Jonathon then pursued their higher education at the University of California, Berkeley, from 1998 to 2002, and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics.
