Mostafa Mokhtar is a highly experienced software engineer with a focus on performance optimization and scalability. Currently a Principal Software Engineer at Databricks since January 2020, Mostafa previously held roles at Amazon as a Software Engineer, enhancing Redshift performance, and Cloudera as a Software Engineer, leading a team to improve Impala quality. Mostafa also served as Senior Manager at Hortonworks, where performance-oriented features were defined, and as Lead Member of Technical Staff at salesforce.com, improving Chatter's performance. Mostafa's career began at Microsoft, where significant contributions to data warehousing performance earned three Gold Star executive recognitions. Mostafa holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Electronics from Cairo University.
