Vangie Shue

Vangie Shue has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Vangie started their career as a Research Assistant at the FDA - Center for Food Safety & Applied Nutrition, where they developed efficient methodologies to process lab samples and analyzed data using various software. Vangie then worked as a Research Assistant at the Columbia University Department of Neuroscience, where they conducted experiments, trained mice, and analyzed data using MATLAB. Vangie later worked as a Pharmacy Technician at United Family Healthcare, where they optimized inventory restocking and designed promotional materials. Vangie also gained experience as a Student Office Assistant at New York University Advertising & Publications and as a Teaching Assistant for Real-time & Big Data Analytics at New York University. Prior to their current role, they worked as a Data Science Intern at CafeMom, where they coded scripts, designed queries, and contributed to an open-source project. Vangie is currently employed as a Senior Software Engineer at Dataminr.

Vangie Shue obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from New York University from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate studies at Columbia University from 2009 to 2013, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. Their education journey began at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, where they completed their high school education between 2005 and 2009. Additionally, in July 2013, Vangie Shue obtained the Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 7 Programmer certification from Oracle.
