Valentin Cojocaru

Head of Data Science at Datatonic

Valentin Cojocaru began their work experience in 2012 as a Research Assistant at University College London. Valentin later worked as a Research Assistant at London Business School and a Teaching Assistant at University College London. In 2014, Valentin worked as a Summer Intern at UniCredit. Valentin then joined Deloitte in 2015 as a Finance Transformation Analyst and later held roles as a Senior Data Scientist and Machine Learning Product Manager. Valentin joined Datatonic in 2021, working as a Principal Data Scientist before becoming the Head of Data Science in September 2022.

Valentin Cojocaru completed their education with a focus on Statistics and Management. Valentin attended UCL from 2011 to 2015 and obtained an MSci degree in Statistics with Management (International Programme). In 2013, they participated in a Year Abroad program at UCLA, where they studied Statistics and Management for Business. Before that, from 2007 to 2011, Valentin attended the "Roman-Voda" National College, where they pursued studies in Mathematics and Computer Science.

In addition to their formal education, Valentin has also obtained two certifications. In October 2019, they became a Professional Data Engineer certified by Google Cloud Platform. More recently, in July 2021, Valentin obtained the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
