Michael Oosthuizen is an experienced brewery manager currently overseeing operations at Waitemata Brewery and DB Draught Brewery since August 2021 at DB Breweries. Prior to this role, Michael held various positions at Lion, including Site Quality & Environment Leader and Engineering Reliability Manager, contributing to quality management and manufacturing improvements. Earlier experience includes serving as Head Brewer and Continuous Improvement Manager at SABMiller, focusing on safety, quality, and sustainable brewery performance. Michael holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Business Administration from The University of Auckland and a Master of Brewing from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling, complemented by a strong educational foundation in biochemistry and chemistry.
