Abby Schanfield

Abby Schanfield, LGSW, currently serves as the Assistant Manager at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library with the DC Public Library, focusing on community programming and creating a trauma-informed environment for all patrons. Previously, Abby worked as a Senior Project Manager and Board Liaison at Whitman-Walker, and as a Senior Legislative Assistant for a Congressman, managing legislative agendas and domestic policy portfolios. With experience in both the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate, Abby contributed to health policy research and legislative processes. Education includes a Master of Social Work from Howard University and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Minnesota.
