Meena Gowda

Meena Gowda serves as the Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at DC Water, a position held since May 2023, and previously held the role of Deputy General Counsel at DC Water & Sewer Authority since December 2016. With extensive experience in managing the operations of the Office of the General Counsel, Meena has overseen various significant legal matters, including managing outside counsel, investigations, and compliance with environmental and appropriations laws. Notable achievements include drafting regulations, testifying before city councils, and managing complex legal issues related to customer complaints and environmental permits. Prior legal experience includes roles as Assistant Corporation Counsel at the Office of the Attorney General for D.C. and as an Associate at Johnson and Associates, focusing on civil litigation and law office management.
