Jake Kounitz has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Jake began their career as a Video Production Intern at redpepper in 2015, where they collaborated on developing commercials for clients such as Verizon and Deloitte. In 2016, Jake worked as a Video Production Intern at Barstool Sports, managing video content on Snapchat and supporting Facebook Live broadcasts.
In 2017, they joined Havas Media Group as a Connections Planning Associate, where they collaborated on media planning for a multi-million-dollar pharmaceutical account and co-launched digital, broadcast, and print media campaigns.
Jake then moved to NEON in 2018, where they supported the senior vice president of marketing and distribution. Jake helped develop marketing and promotional materials for movies and handled media trafficking for advertising initiatives.
From 2019 to 2023, Jake worked at Area 23, starting as a Project Coordinator in the Integrated Production team. Jake supported integrated producers in executing production efforts, working closely with various departments. During their time at Area 23, they were promoted to Associate Integrated Producer, where they functioned as the hub for all project execution, managing complex deliverables across multiple brands and advising on task prioritization.
Currently, Jake is employed as a Project Manager at DDB Health New York, a position they have held since 2023.
Jake Kounitz graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human and Organizational Development. Jake also pursued a minor in Film and Media Studies during their time at the university.
