Alan Brine

Alan Brine is an experienced library and information management professional with over two decades of leadership roles, currently serving as the Deputy Director and Head of Archives and Resource Management at De Montfort University since July 2003. With expertise in library systems, archives development, and resource management, Alan has held various key positions, including Interim Director of Library and Learning Services. Alan is also actively involved in professional organizations, serving as Co-Chair of the Continuing Professional Development and Workplace Learning Standing Committee at the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions and as Chair of the Professional Registration Panel for CILIP. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Information Science from Loughborough University and an MSc in Information and Computer Science from City St George’s, University of London.
