Dr. Thane Campbell

Dr. Thane Campbell is currently serving as an International Strategy Fellow at Schmidt Futures and a Fellow at the Special Competitive Studies Project, both starting in February 2024. Additionally, Dr. Campbell holds multiple roles at Deep Science Ventures, including Founding Dean of Education and Venture Science Doctorate Product Manager, focusing on developing a PhD program driven by societal outcomes. Active in the Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK), Dr. Campbell supports initiatives that inspire contributions from underrepresented groups in engineering. Previous experience includes serving as Technology Team Lead at Science Creates, participating as a panelist for various academic forums, and working as an Enterprise Educator at Edinburgh Innovations. Dr. Campbell holds a degree in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Genomic Engineering from The University of Edinburgh.
