Mellissa Gray

Mellissa Gray is an experienced senior scientist in protein sciences, currently employed at Deerfield Management since July 2025. Prior to this role, Mellissa held positions at Bristol Myers Squibb as an associate scientist focused on stability, where skills in designing stability studies and optimizing product shelf life were developed. At Maze Therapeutics, from February 2019 to April 2024, Mellissa worked as a senior research associate in protein sciences, specializing in recombinant expression, purification of cardiovascular proteins, and protein-ligand complex crystallization. Earlier experiences include positions at Gritstone Oncology and Genentech, where expertise in immunology and bioprocessing was gained, alongside significant contributions to clinical programs and method development. Mellissa received a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Riverside, and has participated in initiatives such as the Emerging Leaders Program.
