Sachiv Mehra has a diverse work experience spanning over several years.

Sachiv currently works at DEFEND as a Security Service Manager, starting in June 2022.

Prior to their current role, Sachiv worked at Datacom for a significant period of time. Sachiv initially joined as a Project Consultant in April 2010 and later served as a Senior Project Consultant from August 2014 to June 2020. In these roles, they undertook various projects involving backup/restore, Data Domains, Net Backup, Backup Exec, Plate Spin, and general Wintel projects for infrastructure design and coordination. Sachiv also collaborated with other technology teams such as Networking.

Sachiv successfully migrated user accounts, workstations, mailboxes, and servers from Windows 2000 to 2003.

Sachiv also gained experience at ComputerLand as an E-Support Analyst from January 2004 to September 2004. Here, they provided first-level support for computer-related queries, managed Active Directory accounts and group policies, and monitored servers and backups.

Earlier in their career, Sachiv worked as a Contract Systems Admin at Saddlery Warehouse NZ from August 2001 to August 2004. Sachiv served as a single point of contact for IT-related issues, upgraded the network from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003 SBS, and configured network routers for email hosting.

At Air New Zealand, Sachiv had multiple roles. Sachiv first joined as an IT Information Analyst in February 2002 and worked until January 2004. In this position, they managed the Cognos environment for helpdesk and financial reporting, performed report writing, and conducted incident root cause analysis. Sachiv also collated statistics for the service desk. Subsequently, Sachiv served as a Service Desk Analyst from February 2001 to February 2002, where they answered and logged calls for IT issues and handled Lotus Notes administration for Anset Australia.

Sachiv also obtained the Cyber Security Foundation+Practitioner Certification from ALC Training in June 2022. Furthermore, Sachiv received the Veeam Certified Engineer 2021 (VMCE 2021) v11 certification from Veeam Software in January 2022. Additionally, they earned the Veeam Availability Suite v11: Configuration and Management certification from DDLS in 2021. Lastly, Sachiv obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2021.
