Keith Violette

Keith Violette is a highly experienced mechanical engineer with a strong background in medical device development and advanced mechanical design. Currently serving as the Lead Mechanical Engineer at DEKA Research & Development since September 2007, Keith manages a team focused on creating innovative medical devices, including the LUKE prosthetic arm and LUKE HAPTIX project, which aim to restore functionality and sensory feedback for users. Additionally, as a Co-Founder of Air Rocket Works LLC, Keith designs and fabricates educational toys to promote hands-on STEM learning. Previous roles include Engineering Manager at Danaher Motion, where precision mechanical design was a key focus, and mechanical design engineer positions at ABTech Inc. and Precitech, specializing in air bearing systems. Keith has contributed to MAKE Magazine as a contributing author and inventor, further showcasing expertise in engineering and design.
