Andy van Den Dobbelsteen

Andy van den Dobbelsteen is a distinguished academic and sustainability expert with extensive experience at TU Delft since December 1993, where roles include Professor of Climate Design & Sustainability, Sustainability Coordinator, and Head of the Department of Architectural Engineering + Technology. With a focus on energy research within the built environment, Andy leads initiatives such as the Urban Energy Platform and the Delft Energy Initiative. In addition to academic duties, Andy contributes as a professional speaker and freelance consultant, advocating for effective sustainable practices. Notable affiliations include serving as Jury Chair for the Nederlandse Duurzaam Bouwen Awards and the Cobouw duurzaam bouwen award. Andy holds a PhD in Technical Sciences and a Master's degree in Civil Engineering/Building Technology from Delft University of Technology.
