Uwe Fechner

Uwe Fechner is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Delft University of Technology, specializing in physics-informed learning control for large-scale wind turbines since May 2023. Previously, Uwe served as a Senior Research and Development Engineer at ABB from October 2019 to April 2023 and founded aenarete - Smart Wind, focusing on developing compact wind drones from October 2015 to December 2020. Uwe also worked as a Senior Control Consultant at E-Kite, implementing automated operations for kite-power systems, while earlier contributions included Ph.D. research at Delft University of Technology on airborne wind energy, along with various roles in power electronics and software development at several organizations. Uwe holds a Ph.D. in Wind Energy from Delft University of Technology and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from FernUniversität in Hagen.
