Kurt Stijnen is an experienced electrical engineer and technician with a diverse background in the offshore and maritime industries. Currently employed at DEME Offshore NL since June 2017 as an Elektrotechnician and a Deck Engineer for the Living Stone Cable installation spread, Kurt specializes in FAT, SAT, and HAT commissioning of newbuilds. Previous roles include electrical engineer at DEME Group, ships electrician at Van Oord Offshore B.V., and shore engineer at Jan De Nul Group. Kurt's technical foundation includes a degree in A2 Elektro-Mechanica from 1998-2001, followed by B2 Auto technieken from 2001-2004, complemented by early experience at Tenneco and Oerlikon.
