Akhil Bhalla

Akhil Bhalla is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in the field of molecular and cellular pharmacology. Currently serving as Director at Denali Therapeutics since November 2016, Bhalla has held multiple leadership roles within the company, focusing on biomarker development for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Cystic Fibrosis. Previous roles include Senior Scientist at Proteostasis Therapeutics, where Bhalla managed collaborations with Harvard University and led research teams in developing small molecule drugs targeting protein misfolding.
