Johan Botha is an experienced engineering professional specializing in system safety, with over two decades of expertise in risk assessment, risk management, safety analysis, hazard assessment, and investigation of failures and accidents. Currently serving as Chief Engineer System Safety at Denel Aeronautics since 2011, Johan has a longstanding tenure at Denel Aviation as an Engineer focused on Aviation System Safety since 1996. Prior experience includes working as a System Safety Engineer with the SA Air Force from 1993 to 1996. Johan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Stellenbosch University, earned between 1989 and 1992.
