Sharon Joseph is an experienced professional in animal welfare and management, currently serving as the Director of Animal Welfare and Internal Research at Denver Zoo since July 2016, where responsibilities include the development and oversight of institutional animal welfare and research programs. Prior to this role, Sharon held the position of Vice President at Houston Zoo from November 2004 to June 2016, overseeing animal care, veterinary, nutrition, and pest control operations and staff. Earlier in the career, Sharon was the Animal Operations Manager at The Walt Disney Company from February 1997 to November 2004, managing animal care operations and supervising staff. Sharon Joseph holds two Master of Business Administration degrees from Colorado Technical University, earned between 2007 and 2010, with a focus on Business Administration and Management.
