Jo Hutchinson

Jo Hutchinson currently serves as the Director of the National Urban Policy within the Cities and Suburbs Unit at the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts, starting in January 2024. Previously, Jo held positions including Acting Assistant Coordinator General at the National Emergency Management Agency, Director of the National Adaptation Policy Office at the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, and Director at the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment. Jo's extensive experience spans various roles focusing on disaster recovery, climate resilience, agricultural policy, and ministerial advisory, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Business from La Trobe University and ongoing legal studies at the University of New England.
