Eltom Awad, MBA, C-KPI®, has a diverse background in the telecommunications industry with expertise in intelligent infrastructure design, solutions, and project management. From 2010 to 2022, they held various roles in different companies, including Head of Intelligent Infrastructure and Head of Design at DETASAD, where they led teams in developing strategies and best practices aligned with Saudi Arabia's 2030 vision. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant for a Confidential Government organization, focusing on telecommunications and infrastructure networks. From 2013 to 2022, Eltom was a Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer at ITEA International Ltd., where they successfully managed nationwide fiber and IPND infrastructure projects and coordinated with multiple stakeholders. Eltom also worked as a Project Engineer at BATCO Group and Fibre Optic Engineer at Lycos for development & services Ltd, where they supervised and oversaw the installation of fiber networks. Additionally, they held a Technical Support Engineer role at Hamtech Trading Ltd.kh. Throughout their career, Eltom has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic planning, and project management skills.
Eltom Awad, MBA, C-KPI®, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The International Business Academy of Switzerland, which they obtained in 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from The Future University in 2010. In terms of additional certifications, Eltom has obtained various qualifications, including a Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management from Awards for Training and Higher Education (ATHE) in 2021. Eltom also holds certifications in Excel Cabling Partner (ECP) from Excel Networking Solutions and Performance Management: Setting Objectives and KPIs from the London School of Business and Finance LSBF. Eltom is a professionally accredited member of the Saudi Council of Engineers. Throughout their career, they have also acquired expertise in project management, defensive driving, and administrative leadership, among other skills.

The history of DETASAD goes back to 1982: starting with a small team of German telecom specialists expanding and modernizing the Telex network in Saudi Arabia. With the reputation built on this initial contract, Detecon al Saudia (DETASAD) operated and maintained all major telecom networks and services implemented by the Ministry of PTT/Saudi Telecom ever since. In 2004 DETASAD became a licensed VSAT service provider and quickly gained a leading position in the market. DETASAD offers a wide range of information communications services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Over the course of our recent projects, the strong market need for managed, integrated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services in the Saudi market became strongly evident.
