Petri Rantala began their work experience in 2013 as an Operator at Stora Enso. Petri continued working in the same role in subsequent years until 2016. In 2018, they worked as a Master's thesis worker at Stora Enso. Later in the same year, Petri joined Soleno Oy as a Business Planning Consultant, a role they held until April 2022. Currently, Petri is employed as a Business Controller at Detection Technology since April 2022.
Petri Rantala pursued their education at the University of Oulu, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial engineering and management from 2011 to 2016. Petri further continued their studies at the same institution and earned a Master of Science degree in Industrial engineering and management from 2015 to 2018.

Detection Technology Oyj is a Finland-based company providing X-ray imaging products and services for medical, security and industrial applications. It is engaged in design, manufacture and marketing of X-ray imaging components and subsystems, such as detectors, photodiodes, and parts and components. Its security offering includes products for scanning of trains, vehicles and containers, air cargo, baggage and parcels, as well as portable and people scanning. The medical supplies include computer tomography (CT), bone densitometry, mammography, and chest and trauma X-ray. The industrial products comprise detectors for food industry, pharmaceuticals, forestry, automotive, renewable energy, oil and gas, mining, agriculture, recycling and waste sorting, aerospace and defense, and industrial process control.
