Danielle North

Danielle North serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Degree Forward since May 2021. Additionally, Danielle is a Columnist for the Detroit Free Press, focusing on entrepreneurship, education, women’s leadership, and family-related topics. As the Founder of Dream Studio Detroit, Danielle promotes a community-driven approach to entrepreneurship and career development. Danielle also founded Kidz Kingdom Child Care & Party Center, which is recognized as Detroit's first indoor playground for children. Previous roles include Charter School Consultant at Grand Valley State University, Director of Operations/Finance at Give Merit, Inc., and Vice President of External Relations & Strategy at Promise Schools. Danielle held the position of Deputy Director at the Detroit Public Schools Office of Charter Schools, overseeing operations and compliance. Danielle’s educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Central Michigan University and studies at Schoolcraft College.
