Tim Phillips

Tim Phillips is a skilled geoscientist with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as Geological Advisor for Devon Energy in the Rockies region since January 2021, Tim has previously held various prominent positions including Asset Supervisor and Geoscience Supervisor. Prior roles at WPX Energy as Geology Team Leader and Sr. Staff Geoscientist at Council Oak Resources, LLC, involved leading teams focused on horizontal development and managing high-return asset exploitation in the Delaware Basin and Anadarko/Arkoma basins. Tim's career began with positions at Newfield Exploration and Continental Resources, contributing to hydrocarbon exploration and geologic research. Education includes a Master of Science in Petroleum Geology and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Oklahoma State University, along with certification in technical geoscience interpretation and mapping.
