Christian Vollmer is an experienced researcher currently working at Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) since October 2021 and at SmartFactory-KL since October 2020. Prior to these roles, Christian Vollmer was a junior researcher at SmartFactory-KL and held the position of Werkstudent Innovative Fabriksysteme at DFKI from July 2020 to October 2020. Christian Vollmer's industry experience includes positions at Porsche AG as a Werkstudent and Praktikant in central project planning for vehicle projects from September 2018 to April 2020, and a Praktikant role in finance at MOBOTIX AG in late 2015. An early internship in software development was completed at Avid in 2012. Christian Vollmer holds a Master of Science in Wirtschaftsingenieurswesen from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), earned between 2019 and 2021, and a Bachelor of Science in Wirtschaftsingenieurswesen mit Maschinenbau from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, completed in 2018, with additional studies at Universidade do Minho from 2017 to 2018.
