Siddhant Ranade

Siddhant Ranade is a Deep Learning Researcher at Topaz Labs since June 2023, where major contributions include the development of a high-fidelity video denoising and upscaling feature and research on SDR-to-HDR inverse tone-mapping. Previously, Siddhant served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Utah from August 2017 to July 2023 under the supervision of Professors Srikumar Ramalingam and others. Siddhant’s prior experience includes research internships at Meta, Facebook, Amazon Lab126, and Adobe, focusing on applications such as 3D human pose estimation, learning material-aware local descriptors, and segmenting drosophila eggs using convolutional neural networks. Siddhant holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Utah and a B.Tech. in Engineering Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
