Lala Ray currently serves as a Researcher at the Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) in the Embedded Intelligence lab, a position held since July 2021, following a role as a Junior Researcher and a Research Assistant in the Augmented Vision lab. Previously, Lala gained experience as a Research Assistant in the Department of Image Processing at Fraunhofer ITWM from November 2021 to June 2022 and completed an internship focused on Deep Learning and Computer Vision at Zummit Germany. Earlier research experience includes a position as a Research Intern in the Electronics and Telecommunication department at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. Lala is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Artificial Intelligence at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, expected to complete in December 2026, and holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the same institution and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Sarang.
