Discovery Museum
Karen Kerns is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management and development within educational and cultural institutions. Currently serving as the Director of Special Projects at the Discovery Museum since August 2015, Karen previously held the position of Assistant Director of Development. Prior to this, Karen worked at Concord Academy as the Director of Advancement Services and at Wellesley College as the Senior Assistant Director of Alumnae Groups. Karen's career began as a Business Process Analyst at the Whitehead Institute. Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychobiology from Wellesley College.
Discovery Museum
Discovery Museum is a hands-on museum for families that blends science, nature, and play. The museum and its Discovery Woods accessible outdoor nature playscape and 550 sf treehouse blend the best of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) learning on a beautiful 4.5 acre campus in Acton, MA. Originally founded in 1982, the museum re-opened in 2018 after a complete renovation and expansion.
