Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Senior Mechanic – Lafayette, IN

DISHER is partnering with a leading heavy equipment distributor in Indiana to fill a Senior Mechanic position on their expanding team in Lafayette. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the organization, specializing in heavy equipment repairs and troubleshooting. This position will perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs as needed to keep equipment that is brought into the shop in good working order.

What you'll get to do:

• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on heavy equipment
• Rebuild, repair, and maintain equipment and components
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics of equipment malfunctions and failures
• Complete documents associated with repairs in an accurate and timely manner

What will make you successful:

• High school diploma or GED; vocational or technical school certificate preferred
• 5+ years of technician, mechanic, or related, experience
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
• Experience working on various types of construction/heavy equipment
• Must have required shop hand tools
• Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without restrictions or expirations.
