Jim Shifrin is an experienced professional with extensive expertise in engineering management and product development. Currently serving as Engineering Manager and Director of Product Development and Innovation at Dixon Valve since January 2012, Jim focuses on developing innovative solutions for customer challenges while exploring new technologies in design, materials, and manufacturing. Additionally, since July 2020, Jim has been self-employed as a student of innovation and product development, participating in a National Science Foundation program called I-Corps. Prior to these roles, Jim operated B&W Fabricating, Inc. for over 13 years, managing various aspects of job estimation and engineering solutions, and served as General Manager at The David J. Joseph Company, where responsibilities included overseeing scrap metal brokerage and business development. Jim holds an MBA in Operations and Accounting and a BSME in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
