Christy Tosney has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and organizations. Christy started their career at the University of Utah in 2001 as a Neuro Critical Care and Float Pool nurse, and later became a Resource Nursing Manager from 2006 to 2010. In 2011, they joined St. Mark's Hospital as an ICU Director until 2014. Since 2015, they have been with DonorConnect, initially serving as the Chief Quality Officer until May 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Performance and Technology Officer at DonorConnect.
Christy Tosney completed their education at the University of Arizona, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from 1994 to 1999. Later, they pursued a Master of Teaching Nursing at the University of Utah between 2006 and 2009. In January 2019, they also obtained the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification from the NAHQ.

DonorConnect (formally known as Intermountain Donor Services) is a federally designated nonprofit community service organization dedicated to the recovery and transplantation of organs and tissues. DonorConnect serves hospitals in Utah, southeastern Idaho, western Wyoming, and northeastern Nevada. Our donation service area includes 2.7 million residents, 88 hospitals, and 4 transplant centers. DonorConnect performs its procurement role, combined with community awareness and education, with the following goals in mind: To provide high quality organ and tissue procurement services to the medical and public communities we serve. To educate medical professionals and the public sector on the benefits of organ and tissue donation in order to provide, in a sensitive manner, the option of donation to all individuals. Our goal is to provide an organizational environment that attracts, retains, and motivates qualified employees who are dedicated to our mission, vision, and values.
