Shane Auerbach

Shane Auerbach is a seasoned product manager currently working at Dune since December 2024, following a tenure at smlXL which ended in December 2024 after the company was acquired by Dune. Prior to these roles, Shane served as a Data Science Manager at Lyft from June 2018 to September 2021, contributing to projects related to driver earnings and experiences, and previously worked as a Data Scientist focusing on driver base pay and policy. Shane began an academic career as a Visiting Instructor at Carleton College from September 2016 to June 2018, teaching courses in microeconomics, industrial organization, the economics of higher education, and colonialism. Shane holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with an MA in Economics from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor’s degree in French Language and Literature from Carleton College.
