Jim Shelton

Jim Shelton serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Blue Meridian Partners since January 2020, and also holds the position of President, Chief Investment & Impact Officer. In addition, Jim Shelton is a Board Member at Duolingo and serves as Board Co-Chair for the Advanced Education Research and Development Fund (AERDF). As a Partner at Amandla Enterprises since July 2018, Jim Shelton brings a wealth of experience from previous roles, including President of Education at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and President & Chief Impact Officer at 2U. Jim Shelton's experience in government includes serving as Deputy Secretary and Chief Operating Officer at the U.S. Department of Education. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Business and Education from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Morehouse College, and a Master's degree in Education from Stanford University.
