Richard Ormerod

Richard Ormerod is currently the Head of Enterprise Architecture at easyJet, a position held since October 2023, following a significant tenure at British Airways where Richard served as Head of Enterprise Architecture from October 2020 to September 2023. In that role, Richard was responsible for aligning the British Airways Business Strategy with the Technology Strategy while overseeing a team of architects to support digital transformation initiatives. Prior experience includes five years as an Enterprise Architect for Airline Operations at International Airlines Group (IAG), ensuring architectural alignment across multiple airlines, and a 23-year career at British Airways in various roles including Principal Architect and Software Engineer, focusing on Flight Operations systems and technology integration for a large fleet of aircraft. Richard holds a BSc in Geography and Computing from Newcastle University.
