Scott Lucas

Vice President, Device Safety at ECRI Institute

Scott Lucas is a seasoned professional in biomedical and mechanical engineering, currently serving as Vice President of Device Safety at ECRI since December 2023. Prior to this role, Scott held the position of Principal Biomedical Engineer at Jensen Hughes from April 2021 to December 2023, and served in various capacities at ECRI, including Principal & Director of Accident and Forensic Investigation from August 2010 to April 2021. Scott's earlier experience includes a tenure as Senior Engineer at Exponent from November 2007 to October 2010. Scott Lucas earned a Ph.D. and M.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, respectively, from the University of Virginia, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
