Alexandre Brandao has over twenty-five years of experience in software engineering and development. In 1992, they began their career as a Research Associate at the Cleveland Clinic. In 1996, they moved to Phase Metrics as a Senior Software Engineer. Alexandre then joined KLA-Tencor as a Senior Software Engineer in 2001. From 2005 to 2016, they worked at Carl Zeiss Meditec, Inc., occupying various roles such as Senior Manager Software Engineering, Software Quality Assurance Manager, Systems Software Manager, Program Manager, and Software Program Manager. In 2016, they became Director of Engineering at Positronics Incorporated, managing projects in industrial automation, semiconductor and biotech. In 2019, they were appointed Director of Systems Engineering at EyeQue Corporation, where they led software development and system verification for next generation devices. Currently, they are Senior Director of Software Engineering at Element Science, Inc., managing the software engineering department responsible for software development, algorithms and data science and IT.
Alexandre Brandao completed their Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro between 1986 and 1992. Alexandre then went on to receive their Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from The Ohio State University between 1992 and 1995.
