Jennifer Banner

Jennifer Banner has extensive experience in leadership and governance, currently serving as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Elme Communities and a Member of the Board of Directors for Truist, CDM Smith, and Uniti Group Inc. since 2015. Jennifer has been a Fellow at the MIT Center for Information Systems Research since August 2019, collaborating on evidence-based research deliverables. Previous experience includes a long tenure at BB&T from 2003 to 2019 and leadership as CEO of Schaad Companies and Schaad Family Office from 2005 to 2019. Jennifer began a career in accounting and taxation as a CPA Tax Principal at PYA from 1987 to 2005 and a Senior Tax Accountant at Ernst & Young from 1983 to 1987. Jennifer holds a Master of Accountancy and a B.S. in Business Administration, both with summa cum laude honors from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and is currently enrolled in the Directors’ College at Stanford Law School.
