Pratheep Paranthaman, Ph.D., is currently the Coordinator of the Game Design minor and an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Elon University since August 2019. Prior to this, Pratheep served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Northeastern University, where courses included Game Programming, and conducted research in Games User Research, focusing on player experience and decision-making in game design. Pratheep also held positions as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Visiting Scientist, involved in Game Analytics and Player Behavior. The academic journey includes earning a Ph.D. in Science and Technology for Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Genoa and a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from Heriot-Watt University. Early career experience includes work as a Robotics Engineer at LEMA LABS, delivering lectures, supporting R&D, and overseeing new employee training.
