Nicholas Mattei

Nicholas Mattei is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Tulane University, where research and teaching are primary responsibilities since January 2019. Mattei also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at UNSW Australia, focusing on social choice and decision-making research since September 2012. Previous experience includes roles as a Research Staff Member at IBM Research AI, a Senior Researcher at CSIRO's Data61, and NICTA, with a consistent emphasis on decision-making under uncertainty and preference reasoning. Early career activities involved research and teaching at the University of Kentucky, complemented by aerospace technology engineering at NASA Ames Research Center. Academic qualifications include a PhD and MS in Computer Science, as well as dual BS degrees in Computer Science and Computer Engineering, all obtained from the University of Kentucky.
