Filipe Nunes Vicente is a Postdoctoral Researcher at EMBL since January 2022, focusing on the role of spectrins in cell surface mechanics and morphogenesis under the mentorship of Alba Diz-Muñoz. Previously, Filipe served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique from September 2016 to September 2021, where research involved mechanosensing in vimentin intermediate filaments and membrane caveolae, in collaboration with Cécile Leduc and Christophe Lamaze. Filipe began the academic journey as a PhD student at Inserm from September 2015 to July 2016 and also undertook a Master Internship in 2016 focused on mitochondrial signaling. Additionally, experience in media includes an internship at Rádio Universidade de Coimbra, where Filipe engaged in reporting and podcast creation. Filipe holds a PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Université de Bordeaux, a Master of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology from Universidade de Coimbra, and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the same institution.
