Principle Hardware Engineer at Emblation

Gavin Cameron is a highly experienced Principal Hardware Engineer at Emblation Limited since January 2016, leading the design of a customer-specific microwave generator for cancer treatment, overseeing five of the six circuit boards and all FPGAs. Prior to this role, Gavin served as Principal Hardware Development Engineer at Selex ES from September 1992 to December 2015, where responsibilities included leading the design of a communications module for the Eurofighter Typhoon's Captor Radar Processor, incorporating advanced technologies such as Xilinx FPGAs, avionics interfaces, and a PowerPC micro-controller. Previous roles at BAE Systems and GEC Marconi Avionics involved significant contributions to radar processor systems and production test equipment design. Gavin's engineering career began as an Engineering Trainee at GEC Ferranti while pursuing a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Edinburgh Napier University.
