Thomas Kim

Thomas Kim is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in venture capital, management consulting, and military service. Currently serving as a VC Operator at Emergence Capital since December 2021, Thomas previously held the role of Director and Head of Bay Area Operations at Bain & Company from July 2017 to November 2021, where strategic initiatives were led for approximately 700 employees in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Consulting expertise encompasses corporate strategy for Fortune 100 technology firms, deal generation and due diligence for private equity, and growth strategy for a major broadcast and cable network group. Prior military experience as an Army Officer from 2010 to 2015 included roles such as Company Commander and Executive Officer. Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
