Vice President, Translational Research at Encoded Therapeutics

Archana Belle, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of translational research, with a focus on gene therapies and biotechnology. Archana is currently the Vice President of Translational Research at Encoded Therapeutics Inc., a company that combines gene regulation with gene therapies. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Director and Director of Translational Research at the same company.

Before joining Encoded Therapeutics Inc., Archana worked at Audentes Theapeutics (now Astellas Gene Therapies) as an Associate Director of Bioanalytics and a Senior Bioanalytical Scientist. In these roles, she was responsible for leading the bioanalytical function to support advancement of lead gene therapy to the clinic for rare diseases.

Earlier in their career, Archana worked at Planet Biotechnology, Inc. as a Principal Scientist and Group Leader. Archana led the cell biology and assay development group, focusing on characterizing innovative plant-produced anti-infective biotherapies and developing analytical methods and protein chemistry assays. Archana also provided strategic and technical support for various analytical studies, including in vivo pharmacology and safety studies.

Archana Belle, PhD completed her education in a chronological order starting from her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Delhi University. Subsequently, Archana went on to obtain their Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from the University at Albany, SUNY. Archana began their career as a Post-doctoral Fellow at UCSF, Department of Biophysics and Biochemistry.
