Paul leads EnergyHub’s work to design, build and deploy industry-leading solutions for power grid analytics, DER optimization and virtual power plant management.

Prior to joining EnergyHub, Paul was CEO of Packetized Energy (acquired by EnergyHub), which used innovative algorithms to deliver advanced grid services from fleets of DERs. Paul has over 25 years of experience in the electricity industry, including work as Professor and R&D leader at the University of Vermont and power systems engineering roles at the National Energy Technology Laboratory, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Alstom ESCA, and Black and Veatch.

Paul holds a PhD in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, a MS in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems from the University of Washington, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Seattle Pacific University.
