Georgios Chatzichristos

Georgios Chatzichristos is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in cyber threat intelligence, operations, and defense education. Currently serving as a Cybersecurity Officer at the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA) since April 2016, Georgios focuses on cyber operations, situational awareness, and planning cyber exercises. Prior to ENISA, Georgios had a distinguished career in the Hellenic Navy, where roles included Acting Security Officer and Commander, with responsibilities spanning from unclassified networks to electronics departments on frigates. Notably, Georgios served as the Cyber Defence Plans & Exercises Cell Leader at NATO Allied Command Operations from June 2013 to March 2016. Academic credentials include a Master’s Degree and an Engineer’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering from the Hellenic Navy Academy.
