Mike McCarthy

Mike McCarthy is a seasoned professional in the field of electrical engineering, currently serving as the Manager of Grid Innovation at ENMAX since June 2011, where strategic innovation is driven to enhance the connection of Calgarians with clean, affordable electricity. Previously, Mike held various roles at ENMAX, including Senior Engineer and Supervising Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing design engineering teams and managing multi-million-dollar substation protection programs. Notable projects include pioneering the first high-speed static transfer switch design in Canada. Mike's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and is currently pursuing an MBA at the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University.
