Mary Abbott

Mary Abbott has a diverse background in organisational development and education, currently serving as the Organisational Development Team Leader at Environment Canterbury since October 2017. Mary has held multiple roles within the organisation, including Senior Partner Health and Wellbeing and Organisational Development Advisor. Prior experience includes a brief tenure as a Voting Place Manager at the New Zealand Electoral Commission and as an Organisational Talent and Development Coordinator at AgResearch. Earlier positions involved roles as a Peer Learning Advisor and Teaching and Research Assistant at the University of Canterbury, and a Children's Librarian at Westland District Library. Mary holds a Master of Science in Applied Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology from the University of Canterbury, along with a National Diploma in Business from the Southern Institute of Technology.
