Matthijs van der Meulen

Matthijs van der Meulen is a neurologist and neuro-oncologist with extensive experience in clinical and research settings. Currently serving at Leiden University Medical Center since September 2024, Matthijs has also been a member of the quality of life subcommittee for the Brain Tumor Group at EORTC since September 2021. Prior roles include a clinical fellowship in neuro-oncology at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and various residency positions in neurology at multiple institutions. Matthijs holds a PhD from Erasmus MC, focused on primary central nervous system lymphoma, and has contributed to the field through leadership positions in the Vereniging Arts-assistenten Neurologie. Educationally, Matthijs obtained a medical degree from Utrecht University.
